What is the best way to connect wires to a double-sided perforated board?

Say on a Microcontroller board with double sided terminals, what is the best way to connect a wire to these terminals?

Since you mention microcontroler board I will assume this is not a prototype board.
Strip the end of the wire, insert through the hole you want to connect to and solder from the other side.
